We’re Natasha and Jonathan, the husband-and-wife duo behind Kazoku Workshop — a small, heart-led business inspired by the beauty of slow, intentional living and the magic of meaningful design.​ 

 

The name Kazoku means “family” in Japanese, a tribute to Natasha’s heritage and a reflection of our dream: to build a creative family business rooted in warmth, tradition, and togetherness. For us, family is at the heart of everything we do — from the pieces we create to the stories we help tell.

Surrounded by wildflowers, rolling hills, and a gentler pace of life, we embraced the cottagecore lifestyle — one rooted in simplicity and a love for traditional skills like gardening, baking, and decorating with handmade treasures.​ Inspired by the natural beauty just beyond our studio windows, Natasha began hand painting delicate floral motifs and whimsical patterns on everyday objects around our home. These small touches became our way of blending creativity with the warmth and cosiness of cottage living — turning ordinary pieces into timeless keepsakes.

Our creative journey took a new turn when we discovered the charm of hand painted candles — something that immediately captured our hearts. Drawing inspiration from the meadows and blooms around us, Natasha began painting wildflower designs on taper candles, transforming them into beautiful pieces of home décor. Whether arranged in antique brass holders or paired with fresh flowers and soft ribbons for a table setting, they always sparked conversation and joy among our friends and family.
